They all have so many stories locked inside them. This could have been my own Dad in his last days. He was a bit confused and might well have gone on one of his strolls and gotten loss.

This gentleman certainly should not have been out alone. He was happy, though, except when he was momentaily upset about his hair. But he just went back to his iPod. He didn't object when we took his wallet or even his cell phone, but I bet he would have raised hell if we went for that iPod.

I had to go find him. As I said, he could have been my own Dad.

Another post about a Baba Ji you might enjoy is here.

http://mai-sometimes.blogspot.com/2007/08/old-sikh-man-amritsar-india.html

There are a lot of charming people out there. Be cautious, though; not everyone is safe. I usually don't talk to men I don't know except for neighbours working in their yards or checkers in stores. Or Baba Jis, of course.Maihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17093308712240415770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8699389924044472782.post-38920501084005173702008-03-01T17:03:00.000-07:002008-03-01T17:03:00.000-07:00WJKK WJKFDear Mata Mai Ji:This is a sweet story. ...WJKK WJKF

Dear Mata Mai Ji:

This is a sweet story. I appreciated the element of continuance, in the form of turbanned old timers walking, and element of presence, rocking to the to the tune of an ipod. Good for you for following your gut and finding this BabaJi despite the naysaying and taking him home.

You seem to be running into the most charming people these days.

pkpkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11647010175046705362noreply@blogger.com
